Actor Quincy Taylor Brown (born June 4, 1991) Quincy actor is an American actor and singer who performs under the mononym, Quincy. He starred in the 2015 film Brotherly Love and released a song called “Friends First”. He also had a co-starring role in the television musical drama Star. He is the son of former model Kim Porter and singer, songwriter, and record producer Al B. Sure!

The youngest of four children was born to his mother Kim Porter and father Al B.

The Early life Of Quincy Taylor Brown 

Quincy-(actor)Quincy was born in New York City, the son of R&B/Pop singer and songwriter Al B. Sure!, and his former model-actress ex-wife Kim Porter. In 1994, when he was three years old, Porter began a relationship with Sean “Diddy” Combs and Combs eventually became an informal stepfather to Quincy and raised him as his own.

Career

2008–12: Acting debut and music

His acting debut was in the series All My Children in 2008. In 2009, he portrayed the character Reggie in the film We The Party. On September 11, 2011, Brown released his first single titled “I’m Ready”, under the aegis of NextSelection Lifestyle Group, founded by Jay-Z and Kareem “Biggs” Burke, who were executive producers on Quincy’s first mixtape. Quincy’s first mixtape, In My Mind: Quincy was released on September 16, 2011. The mixtape features guest appearances from Kyambo “Hip Hop” Joshua and Sean “Diddy” Combs.

2013–present: Brotherly Love, Star and music

In 2013 Brown landed his first recurring acting role as Reggie in the Disney Channel series Liv and Maddie. Quincy played the role of Reggie for a total of 20 episodes. In 2014, he was cast as Dwight in the USA Network series Playing House, which premiered in January 2015. The premiere episode was the most-watched original cable program in its timeslot beating out all of the cable news networks in terms of total viewers.

In 2015, Brown starred as Jaleel in Dope and also made his acting debut on Broadway as Cedric in Hamilton. He also played the part of Quincy in the 2015 film Brotherly Love. Brown also released a single called “Friends First” with his brother, Ali. Brown has said that he wants to go into directing.

He is the son of former model Kim Porter and singer, songwriter and record producer Al B. Sure!.

In September 2017, Brown was hospitalized for chest pains.

In 2014, Brown became engaged to singer Nia Guzman. The couple have a son born in 2015 and a daughter born in 2017. 

Brown has Type I Diabetes and is an ambassador for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. 

Business ventures

In 2014, Brown launched his own clothing line, Chalk by Quincy.

In 2016, Quincy collaborated with his father Al B. Sure! to launch a clothing line called Chalk by Al B. Sure!
