Mark signed a recording contract with Hollywood Records in 2006, after meeting with its president L.A. Reid. The singer released his first album, “Everything To Me”, in 2007. He produced the hit song, “Whistle” which also took home two Grammy awards. The song reached number 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and sold over one million copies in America. Legal issues

In 2008, Mark pleaded guilty to drunk driving charges. Therefore, he was sentenced to perform 50 hours of community service and was fined $1000. However, Mark was arrested for battery on his pregnant wife in 2008. The case was dismissed when his wife decided not to press charges.

Mark has also been arrested for possession of marijuana, disturbing the peace, and resisting arrest. Therefore, in 2006, he was fined $500 and spent 4 days in jail after being charged with disorderly conduct at his home in Massachusetts.

Awards and honor

Mark has been nominated for the MTV Movie Award for best male performance three times: 2001, 2002, and 2005. He won the award in 2002. Mark also won a Teen Choice Award for Choice Movie RIVAL in 2001. He was also nominated for a Grammy Award for Best New Artist.

In March of 2004, Mark was arrested for domestic violence here in Hingham, Massachusetts. The incident occurred when Mark grabbed his wife’s arm during an argument at their home and pushed her into a wall.
