Kalpana Kartik is a retired Hindi film actress. She starred in six movies in the 1950s. She is the wife of Hindi actor and filmmaker Late Dev Anand. Mona Singha used to be a beauty queen while studying at St. John’s College. Bede, Shimla. She was introduced to Navketan Films’ Chetan Anand along with Baazi in 1951.
She co-starred with Dev Anand, whom she worked with in all of her subsequent films. Her on-screen name – Kalpana Kartik – was given to her by Chetan Anand during this time. His other films are Aandhiyan, Humsafar, Taxi Driver, House No. 44 and Nau Do Gyarah.
