Hemsworth was born in Melbourne, Australia on August 11, 1983. His father, Craig Hemsworth, is a social-services counselor and director. His mother, Leonie was a special-education teacher. They grew up in Melbourne with three other children: Luke (an actor), Liam (also an actor), and India (a writer).

Chris was the second child born to Leonie and Craig Hemsworth. Leonie was a school teacher and his father worked as a social-services counselor. Both of them were passionate about the arts, so they decided to raise Chris, who grew up with an affinity for acting and singing, outside of Melbourne in Wattle Glen. He stayed there until he was 12 or 13 years old as his parents thought it was important for him and his siblings to experience country life.

He will star alongside Jessica Chastain, Emily Blunt, and Charlize Theron in this project. Hemsworth will also go on to appear in “Thor: Ragnarok” after the events of 2013’s Thor: The Dark World. In the movie, he will go up against Tom Hiddleston’s Loki.
He and his wife will also co-star in “The Shack”, an American drama that revolves around a man whose daughter is abducted and murdered. Hemsworth will also appear in “Avengers: Infinity War” due to the massive popularity of his role as Thor.

Hemsworth has been nominated for two Teen Choice Awards. He has also been nominated two times for the People’s Choice Awards and won one of them.
