Ariana Grande Biography:
Ariana Grande-Butera was born in Boca Raton, Florida, on June 26, 1993. She is the daughter of Joan Grande, CEO of Hose-McCann Communications, and Boca Raton-based graphic designer Edward Butera. In 1964, this company was established in Brooklyn and began manufacturing communications and safety devices. Grande, of Italian descent, claims to be an Italian American and has Sicilian and Abruzzese ancestry.
She enjoys spending time with her maternal grandmother Marjorie Grande and her older half-brother Frankie Grande, a producer and singer. Her family moved from New York to Florida before she was even born, and her parents divorced when she was perhaps 8 or 9. While her parents were holders of season tickets for the Florida Panthers in 1998, she twice unintentionally suffered minor bruises on both wrists from being hit by stray hockey pucks.
On October 9, 1998, during the initial intermission of the Panthers’ inaugural regular-season game at the National Car Rental Center, she made history by becoming the first child ever to ride a Zamboni in the brand-new stadium.
This second incident was made possible by her parents’ $200 winning offer at an auction. It happened in the game’s opening frame. The following day, The South Florida Sun Sentinel published a photo of her riding the Zamboni. She performed “The Star-Spangled Banner” at eight on January 16, 2002, before the Panthers’ home matchup against the Chicago Blackhawks.
When Grande was a little child, the Fort Lauderdale Children’s Theater gave her theatrical debut as the lead in the musical Annie. She also participated in The Wizard of Oz and Beauty and the Beast. When she was eight years old, she made her stage debut.
Since then, she has sung with the South Florida Philharmonic, Florida Sunshine Pops, Symphonic Orchestras, and other concert halls. She was enrolled at Pine Crest School at the time and then transferred to North Broward Preparatory.
Ariana Grande Career:
She joined Republic Records in 2011 after label executives watched YouTube videos of her performing songs. Her four-octave speaking voice has drawn the public’s attention, and the media has extensively covered her personal life.
Yours Truly, Grande’s debut album, inspired by 1950s R&B and doo-wop, peaked at number one on the US Billboard 200. The Way, the album’s lead song, reached its highest position on the US Billboard Hot 100 at ten.
Her singing and humming register on the CD drew comparisons to Mariah Carey. Her subsequent studio albums, My Everything (2014) and Dangerous Woman, were released (in 2016). Then, based on her struggles, Grande released her fourth and fifth landmark albums, Sweetener (2018) and Thank U, Next (2019).
Both of which achieved notable success in the market. Sweetener won the Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album. The year’s highest-selling pop album, Thank U, Next, won awards for Album of the Year and broke a record for the biggest pop song streaming week.
The top singles on the charts Thank U, Next, 7 Rings, and Break Up with Your Girlfriend; I’m Bored all contributed to making Grande the first solo artist to hold the top three positions on the Hot 100 in the same time. She created history when she became the first woman to lead the UK Singles Chart.
